WHAT WE DO
Wilderness Odyssey’s professional staff provide evaluation and assessment of struggling teens, help for individuals seeking growth and change, clinical support for young men and women struggling with Oppositional Defiant disorder, Conduct disorder, Depression, ADD/ ADHD, problems in school, addiction issues, victims of abuse and neglect, and families in crisis. Each youth and their family work one on one with a licensed clinician. Together, the clinician, youth and family create individualized action plans for treatment based on the goals of the individual and family. Along with a family centered graduation, we provide aftercare and community referrals for participants and families. |

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Wilderness Odyssey is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The grants and funding we receive allow us to provide programs for a variety of families. It is important to emphasize that we are a therapeutic organization, not a boot-camp. Our therapists are state licensed mental health professionals, who build on success to create change rather than punishment.
Our program is three tiered, in which the participants work together to earn adventure excursions, such as group rafting trips and rock climbing. Finally, unlike many other programs, Wilderness Odyssey focuses on the family unit including: parent education, coaching, support and involvement, family wilderness graduation, continued therapist support and aftercare.
Because of our non-profit status and the mission of
the organization, we strive to provide excellent service
at
one third the cost of other therapeutic programs. |
